2025 Club Survey Review
Cullasaja Club 2025 Member Satisfaction Survey
thing! The food on Tuesday night is, most of the time, not good. It is hard to find something to order. Most of us default to a hamburger or crab cake. Then the same menu appears on the Twilight menu. If I had eaten at the club on Tuesday with my friends, then played Twilight, it would be hard to find something to order. The "Barnyard Bash" menu was terrible! Did you notice?...I could continue, but think I have made my point......most members say we go for the camaraderie, to be with our friends...not for the food! There have been throughout the year when food has arrived, not cooked to order or uncooked. As an example the bang bang shrimp being cold on the inside. You can be understanding at the start of the season, as the team learns to work together, but it wouldn't be the best experience at the end of the season. The chef and wine dinners are great. The normal dinners are not satisfactory. Examples. I have had 4 or 5 wagyu burgers. All ordered medium and all delivered well done. My favorite tempura bang bang shrimp now have excessive batter on them and soy on bang bang shrimp is unheard of. You can specify chipotles which is on every other bang bang shrimp that I have every had/see. The fried hal were great as they allowed adjustment of the heat by the amount you eat. The fried green tomatoes have excessive batter. I find that too many dishes do not have enough favor and I have to add favor. Chef Scott is the nicest executive Chef that I have ever met. Consistency of the food offerings and menu variety impacted the scores negatively. These two scores were lower than in prior years. Plate presentation is lacking. Somebody should be in charge of every plate that leaves the kitchen. The Mexican, Italian, Asian and 4th of July buffet were exceptional. But, the choices on the day to day menus is repetitive. How about offering a Thai dish or Italian dish on each menu? I feel like it is the same menu for weeks on end which if we want to eat out Highlands offers many options. The menu for the WGA end of the year was not good. It was a Thai salad with minimal dressing which is fine but everybody at our table requested more dressing which was delivered by Robie. The food has been a disappointment this season. The menu lacks variety, the meat or fish are typically overcooked, and the temperature of the food is cool. Also, I find the food lacking in flavor. Good job. The staff is wonderful

Scott is a fantastic chef. I wish we had been more special upscale dining events.

Chef Scott seems to want to prepare “gourmet” dishes. I would prefer more simple dishes. Sometimes the food is either over or undercooked. Buffet dinners seem to be better prepared than menu items at dinner.

Staff are all great. The food quality and selection have gone sharply down hill this year. Lunch is average. Dinner food quality has been so poor that we just stopped going to the club for dinner.

Food varies from excellent to not very good depending on what one orders.

Food is good but not as good as past. Thanks for making Bang Bang shrimp available every night. It was good this year but had more breading (thus, I'm my opinion, not as good). Beverage excellent!! The menus stayed the same for too long. Why don't we go back to more casual or comfort food during the week and gourmet offerings on the weekend. Some of the food needed more sauce applied and more dressing on the salads. The lamb wellington was fabulous as was the beef oscar (provided it was served rare to medium rare). The lobster rolls were delicious and very generous. I did notice however at the end of the year, there weren't the big pieces of claw on them any more. The special event buffets were very good. Food needs to be served hotter. I didn't feel Chef Scott lived up to his full potential this year.
