TENNIS NEWS – CHRIS HARRIS

MID-SEASON 2023 TENNIS REMAINS VIBRANT Warmer temperatures of July brought out plenty of tennis and pickleball playing members this season. We’ve had over 1,000 hours of play on our courts in the last month, with close to 100 people coming out on the Saturday of 4 th of July weekend alone. The growth in Clay Court Pickleball at the Club, plus the addition of Heather’s tennis clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays have been strong contributors to the increase in activity. Hitting on the ball machine also remains a popular activity as it doesn’t require another player to get in a nice work out. Our version of Clay Court Pickleball remains strong with plenty of participation often using 2 courts for play. Please note that we have purchased 6 additional loaner clay court pickleball racquets in different weights. So, everyone should be able to find a paddle that suits their needs or preference.
