I know it has been a very tough year to grow grass on our greens, so there is a reason our greens have been mostly horrible until the last month. Don’t know what if anything we can do to avoid a repeat of this year, but if something can be done, we should do it! I don’t play golf, but it would be nice if the groundskeepers had electric blowers so it wasn’t so noisy

My guests that have played Mountain Top, Wade Hampton, High Hampton and Highlands CC all say they prefer Cullasaja (unless they’re members of one of those clubs). I am so very sorry to rate poorly but I have to be honest. The course conditions this year have been the worst since we joined in 2020. The first 2-3 months of the season were not good. It is inexcusable that a club that is only open for 6 months is not perfect from day one. There was very little grass on the greens and many of the fairways. Surrounding courses grasses were flourishing at the same time so weather conditions cannot be used as an excuse. I am unsure why we had all the problems but my guess it was inappropriate chemical applications. As the season progressed the amount of weeds on tee boxes was terrible. I am also concerned about multiple “low spots” on the course after going through such an extensive renovation process. Can we please get these areas corrected during the off-season? New practice area is beautiful and wonderful. Only criticism (slight) is that the slope on both is too severe. It would seem that the chipping and putting area shouldn't be in the same vicinity. If someone is chipping up onto a green, and there are 3 people putting there, the chances for mishap are pretty good. It was an expensive remodel... and I'm not at all sure that it was worth it. The area available for chipping is limited, because of the size of the large putting area. It might have been better to have had the chipping area land onto a smaller green, and die into a hillside, and the putting area be separate and out of harms way. I am not an expert, but if you are always on the alert for flying balls, putting is a little tricky. Driving range upgrade is disappointing. The ability to follow the flight of the ball and judge the distance of the shot is worse, not better. The mounds and slope in the first +/-100 yards make the new short yardage target flags useless and the second and third target greens difficult to see. I hope this can be fixed before next season. Course is beautiful and I expect quite challenging to Tom. I appreciate everything you do. I would like to be hitting off the mats less often, (they make me feel like I am a great golfer & not even close to the reality of the course!) It's been a tough year for the course with so much rain and the cool temperatures in the spring. Tom and team have done a great job in a difficult year. 4th green is still ridiculous. Greens have not been up to usual standards. Bunkers are WAY too hard. No way on the new range to judge club distances. Short game area does not have enough deep rough practice opportunities. Need to do something about cart path between 16 and 17. Steep and dangerous when wet!!! Carts skid and slide if brakes are used coming close to edge. Please address! Very dismayed over the discussion about changing the hole placements - swapping the front and back 9. Very much prefer that this not happen. I understand we had problems with nematodes this year but most if not all of the local golf courses (including Sky Valley) seemed to have beautiful greens and fairways. I hope and I use the golf course in off hours
